Coming of Age
Growing up deserves to be celebrated. A Coming of Age ceremony acknowledges the journey from childhood towards adolescence and adulthood, honouring the unique qualities, hopes and dreams of the young person at its heart.

A Baby Naming ceremony is a powerful way to welcome, name and celebrate a unique and beautiful little person as they begin their life, and enter yours.
It is a non-religious alternative to a formal Christening or Baptism and is a way to officially welcome your child into your chosen family. Each ceremony is tailored to the family, and can include symbolic acts such as sand ceremonies, and tree-planting. During the ceremony, parents will give their commitments to their child, as well as their hopes and dreams for their child’s future. God parents (or guide parents as they are often called) can also be called upon to promise to support parent and child as part of their chosen tribe.
Naming ceremonies can be held when baby is a newborn, but this ritual is also suited for toddlers and older children. Ceremonies can take place at home, or in any appropriate venue. Whoever the Naming Ceremony is for, at its core the intention is to create a space where families and communities can come together to unite and bond, all in the name of this special life.

A Stepping Stones Ceremony is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the lives of children who, by the ages of seven and eight, are becoming responsible, more independent, aware of the community around them, brave, more questioning, developing empathy and developing social awareness.
These ceremonies can be celebrated individually or with a group of friends who may not be celebrating a First Holy Communion. They can also be introduced into Schools, especially non-denominational education settings.

A coming-of-age ceremony is an opportunity to support, honour, encourage and celebrate children who are stepping into adolescence or teenagers moving into adulthood.
So many 11 to 13 year olds are becoming independent, questioning everything around them, becoming more responsible, seeking support and mentorship and seeking the ability to forge their own path.
Coming-of-age ceremonies have been around for thousands of years, and are found in many different cultures from Irish traditional Confirmations, Bar and Bat Mitzvah, Rumspringa. Even the US tradition of Sweet 16 has its roots in the idea of coming-of-age.
