Commitment Ceremonies
Not every couple chooses to marry, but every committed relationship deserves to be celebrated. A commitment ceremony allows you to honour your love in a way that feels right for you, surrounded by the people who matter most.

At present Independent Civil Celebrants are not able to solemnise (i.e. legally marry a couple) on the day. You would be required to complete the legal requirements with 2 witnesses before or after the wedding date. This leaves you free to enjoy the ceremony of your dreams on your big day. Civil celebrants can conduct wedding ceremonies anywhere, including your home (which is not permitted for a solemnised wedding), and I can still assist you with advice on the legal side of things.

I love when couples choose they own vows - it makes them so much more personal to your unique relationship. I also like to leave them out of any ceremony drafts going back and forth before the big day - that way there are still some surprises for you both!

Once you have chosen a date and a venue for your celebration, it’s a good idea to choose your celebrant next, so the sooner the better - I like to have a free, no obligation consultation with my couples before we confirm the date, just to make sure I am the celebrant for you!
